Angelina Jolie was honoured with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, which is given to 'an individual in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry', at the Governer's Awards on Saturday night for her ongoing charity and humanitarian work both in the film industry and outside of it.

After already emotional introductions from George Lucas, some of the cast of her directorial debut 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' and Gena Rowlands, Angelina took to the stage and opened up about her mother's influence on her upbringing in the industry as well as her charitable nature.

Speaking with extreme humility and sincerity, Jolie spoke about the reality of her and her fellow actors privilege both being where they are but also the responsibility that comes with the position for her personally.

If you weren't a fan of her before now, this may very well change your mind.
