This will make a great set piece in Tom Hardy’s future biopic (which doesn’t exist yet but never say never).

Hardy has proven he is multi-talented whether playing dramatic roles, ones that test him physically, or is playing multiple roles in the one production. Heck, the guy is just the best at reading bedtime stories.

More than anything though, we love seeing the English thespian in action and according to the Sun, the star of Taboo recently proved himself to be a hero off-screen as well as on.

Reportedly, Hardy was out and about near his home in Richmond, London, when he spotted the suspect crash a stolen moped.

Hardy then sprinted after the thief in a ‘Hollywood-style chase’ as he fled the scene. The chase went through gardens and across a building site before the actor caught the crook and apparently declared ‘I caught the c**t.’

Hardy reportedly made a citizen’s arrest, grabbing the thief by the scruff of the neck and patting him down for concealed weapons.

According to witness Arun Pullen, “It was mental – like he’d switched to superhero mode in an action movie.

“The kid looked wrecked and in shock. Tom Hardy’s clearly not a man you’d mess with. I think he even checked the kid’s ID before cops took over… Tom did the public a great service.”

Tom Hardy’s spokeswoman declined to comment.

What a man.
