The news was broken by TMZ, who reported that a fan of the pop artist hit him in the face. The fan was later arrested.
JT was playing at the American Century Celebrity Pro-Am in Lake Tahoe over the weekend when the incident happened.
He was walking through the crowd and everyone there was quite taken aback by the smack.

Seeing it first hand, is it possible that the fan was just trying to high-five JT, but on the face?
In any case the reaction of arresting the guy seemed a bit extreme, although the same report did imply that the man was taken into custody for acting belligerently to authorities later, not for the incident itself.
