It seems that Roxanne Pallet's actions on 'Celebrity Big Brother' may have repercussions beyond what even she expected, as she has quit several gigs to take a hiatus of-sorts from showbiz.

The 'Emmerdale' actress is currently playing the role of 'Most Hated Woman in Britain' after accusing Ryan Thomas of hitting her on the reality show, although camera evidence later proved that it was playful.

Although she apologised to Thomas, the public clearly want blood and Pallet has stepped down from her role in a 'Cinderella' panto as well as quitting her show on Yorkshire radio station Minister FM.

A statement from her camp said: "We and Roxanne have decided today that she will be stepping down from her position at Minster FM, and from her upcoming role as Cinderella in Chesterfield.

"Roxanne will not be undertaking any more media interviews and will now be taking some time away."

Meanwhile, former X Factor star Rhydian Roberts - who was due to appear in 'Cinderella' with Pallet - revealed that he too had been the victim of 'exaggerated accusations' of assault when they appeared in a production of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' in 2012:
