You see, this is the reason Caroline Flack always wears formal shorts to EVERYTHING. She decided to branch out for last night's House of Frasier TV BAFTA Awards and look where it got her...

While she looks great, it is a bit on the long side, therefore she reportedly spent most of her stint on the red carpet bending over to fish bits of material from under her heels.

Those also opting for the black jumpsuit included Laura Whitmore, Poldark's Helda Reed, Claudia Winkleman, this lady I don't recognise given the angle of her face (please feel free to enlighten us), among others.

The 'too long' theme also extended to some dresses on the night, including Made in Chelsea's Lucy Watson's silver ensemble.

Those also raising eyebrows on the red carpet and gracing many a "WORST DRESSED" lists this morning include anything with a pattern / bang of 'bumblebee' off it - namely TOWIE's Ferne McCann, and Game of Thrones' Rose Leslie.

Poldark's Eleanor Tomlinson also got a lot of negative press for her woodland nymph look. While perhaps she was regretting the velvet on account of it being rather humid, she does wear it well.

Meanwhile Fern Cotton's yellow dress was deemed 'frumpy' by more than one outlet, but we disagree... Anything plunging that south is never frumpy.

Also channelling the sun on an already scorching red carpet (it reportedly got up to 27 degrees in London yesterday - hence all the squinting) was BGT's Alesha Dixon.

And finally to those who we think shone on the night for various reasons - Amanda Holden (who really went above and beyond with the train), Suranne Jones, Michelle Keegan, Maisie Williams, and Kara Tointon.

The big head turners of the night, however, included Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick who walked the red carpet together (presumably as part of their 'Trolls' PR) in very dashing ensembles. While no outlets can inform us which designer was responsible for Kendrick's giant-sequined dress, we have been reliably informed that her sandals are by JImmy Choo.
