Well Gaga has always been known to make bold statements with her outfits and this isn't nearly as bad as the dreaded meat dress.

The pop singer wore a white, grey and blush ensemble which consisted of lots of tulle, a discarded corset, and a feathered white cap upon which there was an oversized ‘Vote’ badge attached. She shared images of herself wearing the ensemble on social media:

The corset, according to blogger-model Julia Frakes, could be a reference to noted writer and feminist Charlotte Perkins Gilman, who wrote about gender roles and the restrictive nature of the corset at the turn of the century.

 

The puffy sleeves, long skirt and hat draw strong resonance with the suffragette movement. And on the eve of the 2016 US presidential election, it couldn’t be more accurately timed or thematically appropriate. 

It’s pretty clear whose camp Gaga is in (over the weekend, the pop star tweeted: '.@MELANIATRUMP to say u will stand for "anti-bullying" is hypocrisy. Your husband is 1 of the most notorious bullies we have ever witnessed'), but she also shared this message on Twitter to make one final plea with voters:
