One Direction get a telling off for blowing cash in casino

Nice to know that being world famous and ridiculously successful in your late teens doesn't come without some supervision and a good bollocking if you step out of line.

Niall Horan revealed to We Love Pop Magazine that when they all turned 18, they celebrated with a trip to an unnamed casino and pretty much lost a bucketload of money. Quoth the young Mullingarite 'Like most of the stupid things we do, it seemed like it was a good idea at the time. We just thought, 'We’re 18, this is the first time we’ve been able to spend a bit of money in weeks because we’ve been on the road.' I won £100, which seemed reasonable, then I stopped. But I’ll have to say, ‘No comment’ about the others.'

Afterwards the fivesome get a severe telling off, probably more so because it's a bad PR move than the fact they were burning cash with wild abandon.

In the meantime, Brian McFadden has been stirring it up by announcing that he thinks Niall will be the first one to quite One D when the time comes, following in his own oh so successful footsteps. 'He comes across as the guy who'll probably follow in my steps and Robbie's steps and be the first to leave. All the ones that leave first always have that same kind of twinkle in their eye; they're a bit bold, a bit naughty!', he said to Real Radio Yorkshire.

I'd stop projecting yourself onto young Niall now if I were you Brian, I think he's slightly more successful than you were.
