Riiiiiiiiight. We chose to ignore the rumours of her return to the studio - much like everyone blanked the news of her pending book - but this is just too much.

The actress/singer/author is determined to get her life back on track following her stint in rehab during the summer, and has teamed up with Mr. Kate Moss - AKA Jamie Hince - to work on a "mystery project." I'm sure Kate is thrilled.

The 27-year-old posted a number of photographs on her Instagram account, which saw her sitting at a mixing desk in a New York studio, as well as a signed copy of The Kills record, along with the hash tags 'Jamie Hince' and 'Studio time'.

Lohan, who released two albums when she was a Disney star, is keen to revive her music career and has been seeking advice from Jamie and Lily Allen's ex-boyfriend Robertson Furze in a bid to turn into a "rock chick".

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Lindsay's really embarrassed by [her previous] music, it was really poppy and cheesy. She sees herself as far more credible now (based on...?). Jamie is one of her idols - she loves The Kills and sees herself as a bit of a rock chick."

In another bid to rebuild her career, Lindsay met with literacy agency Waxman Leavall last week to discuss the idea of writing of the aforementioned tell-all autobiography, which will see her open up about every aspect of her life including becoming a child star, allegations of drug use and her infamous relationships. Because none of us know anything about them already thanks to t'internet.
