Attending the Oscars is hard enough work, what with the hours of make up, hair styling and outfit choosing (not to mention the weeks of near starvation needed to squeeze into said outfit) required to look your best on the big day. Something you'd rather not have to add to the mix, is how to work all of the above whilst rocking a set of crutches. They're not exactly the must-have accessory for awards season 2013, eh?
Well that's what Twilight star Kristen Stewart was dealing with last night. Still though, she managed to not look totally awkward. Then again, maybe we're just so used to seeing her uncomfortable, that she looks more comfortable now having a reason to justify her general state of uncomfortability. Keeping up?
The actress was on hand - minus her Twilight beau (Robert Pattinson, if you need reminding) to present the award for achievement in production at the 85th Annual Academy Awards, along with Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.
She wore a strapless, lace Reem Acra gown and managed to throw her crutches to one side for the all important posing on the red carpet. Looking far more feminine and pleasant (I think we detect a hint of a smile in there somewhere) than we've seen in yonkedoodles, it seems K-Stew may be beginning to come out of her moody, sticking-her-two-fingers-up-on-the-red-carpet phase. Whatcha think? Is that possible
