The couple have called it quits as Kourtney claims that she needs to do what's best for her children.

Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian have called an end to their relationship, as Kourtney apparently wants to do the right thing for their three children Mason (5), daughter Penelope (who turns 3 on Wednesday) and Reign, who is just 6 months old.

Sources close to the couple confirmed the news to E ! Online, stating that "Kourtney has always taken Scott back and been by his side, but now with three kids it has gotten old". The breakup took place over the weekend during the 4th of July festivities, which they celebrated separately. While this isn't the first time that they have called a halt to their relationship, this time it looks like it could be for good.

According to that same source, the recent reports that Disick was cheating on her seem to have been the final straw for Kourtney, and his trip to Monte Carlo has been a "month-long party binge" in which he has been "running around saying he's single".

Disick has had trouble with alcohol and addiction issues in the past, doing stints in and out of rehab (one of the reasons they broke up previously) but now the family fear that he has fallen off the wagon again, with the same source stating "He's clearly unraveling. He was a mess in NYC last month with the drinking and partying and he's been in a downward spiral ever since. He's been in trouble before, but this is on another level".
