Kim Kardashian West was held at gunpoint in a luxury private residence in Paris early this morning by men posing as police and robbed of "jewellery worth millions".

CNN were first to report the news, reporting that five men dressed as police entered the building around 2.30am and handcuffed the concierge before forcing him to open the apartment. Kardashian West was then reportedly locked in a bathroom while the men stole two phones and several pieces of jewellery, one ring that is estimated at being worth around $4 million alone.

Kim had been in the French capital as part of Paris Fashion Week alongside Kourtney and Kris Jenner, who were all there to support sister Kendall Jenner's modelling career. Kim's children, 3-year-old North and 10-month-old son Saint, were not believed to be in the room at the time of the incident.

A spokesperson for Kim, Ina Treciokas, confirmed the incident to CNN and stated that Kardashian West was "badly shaken but physically unharmed". Kim and Kourtney have reportedly already left the country to return to the U.S.

Meanwhile AFP confirmed with Paris police that "jewellery worth millions" was stolen.

Kim's husband Kanye West abruptly ended his performance at The Meadows festival in New York halfway through his performance of 'Heartless' after being informed, telling the audience "I'm sorry, there's a family emergency, I have to stop the show".

The festival later released this statement.

The Kardashian/Jenner/West family have yet to comment on the incident either via representation or on social media.
