The actress is known for her flawless appearance but she recently revealed one of the downsides to a life of glamour.
The star of Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean recently talked hair and make-up with InStyle, as you do.
The most interesting revelation was that she’s been wearing wigs for the last five years after dying it for various roles led to it falling out.
She told InStyle: ‘I have dyed my hair virtually every colour imaginable for different films. It got so bad that my hair literally began to fall out of my head! So for the past five years I’ve used wigs, which is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to my hair.’
Knightley was recently cast as the sugar plum fairy in Disney’s live action remake of The Nutcracker. She has also been cast alongside Alexander Skaarsgard in The Aftermath, which is set in Germany post-World War II.
