Kate Middleton and Prince William's Olympic PDA.
Well I'm feeling all kinds of mushy today. Of all the couples that come and go in the land of 'slebville - make ups, break ups, affairs, you name it - the only one that gives me any sort of hope that true love will conquer all (yes, I'm a big romantic sap) is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. How genuinely happy and in love do they seem? They've got tonnes in common too, which is always a bonus. It's not all about appearances for these lovebirds and they don't just turn up to these events because they HAVE to, they want to be there and they want to have fun. And this isn't their first year of being in a relationship together, folks. Sure, they've only been married for 16 months but this pair are well past those early days of fuzzy feelings and flushing cheeks. They have, afterall, been romantically linked since as far back as 2001. Ahh, the enduring power of genuine love.
In the rarest of public displays of affection, Kate Middleton and Prince William embraced each other as they celebrated yet another win for Team GB in the London Olympics - this time in cycling - blisfully unaware of the cameras that would capture their moment. With bucketloads of enthusiasm, the young Royals couldn't contain their excitement after the British men's pursuit team smashed world records in their qualifying round before scooping the gold medal in what's being described as a rather 'breathtaking' race.
However breathtaking that race may have been, it was this young couple's warm embrace and cheshire cat-like grins - something we almost NEVER see where the Royal family are concerned - that took most people's breath away. As ambassadors to Team GB, Kate and Wills have been enjoying many of the Olympic games so far, and - astutely pointed out elsewhere - if there's any medals to be handed out for supporters, this pair sure deserve to be in the front running for gold.
