Kate Middleton, William and Harry celebrate the beginning of the London Olympics...

It's been a while since we've done a bit of Royal ogling. Marking the exciting launch of the London Olympics - kicking off in foggy London town today - here's Kate Middleton along with her hubby Prince William and brother in law Harry welcoming the Olympic flame to historic Buckingham Palace during the Olympic torch relay. Looking trendier than we've seen her in a while - I was a bit worried she'd end up going down that frumpy 'Royal' road - the Duchess of Cambridge was snapped sporting some figure hugging skinny blue jeans - also serving to enhance the bright blue rock on her wedding finger - paired with a pretty sexy official team GB t-shirt. While we're not used to seeing her go so casual - especially on the grounds of the palace - she still works that trademark blowdry with not a single hair strand out of place to perfection and, of course, she wouldn't be caught dead without a pair of L K Bennett style wedges to match. Oh no wait, here she is barefoot.

Flicking through these pics, it's nice to see also that over a year on, Kate and Wills are as in love as ever. With all the celebrity break ups we've been reporting on of late - this is one pairing that we're fairly confident will stand the test of time. After all they do say if you can get through the first year of marriage, you're doing well. And by 'they' I mean Edward Cullen in part one of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.

Anyhoo, these three are all ambassadors to team GB and seem genuinely excited to mark the occassion with their chosen torch bearers. The future King and Queen of England were the last to greet the famous flame, coming after earlier torch bearers David Walliams, Bruce Forsythe and the stars of Absolutely Fabulous - Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders, earlier in the day.

And if that wasn't enough for one day - the Royals also enjoyed a spot of football and some table tennis when visiting Bacon's college in Rotherhithe in London to launch the Coach core programme a partnership between their foundation and the sports charity Greenhouse. Only Kate Middleton could look this chic whilst having a kickabout.

Now, as Bane from The Dark Knight Rises would say... Let the games begin!

Although we really do hope Bane has absolutely nothing to do with these events.
