And he would have too, if it wasn't for that pesky orchestra and the show coming back from an ad break.

In a recent Q&A with Vanity Fair, James Cameron has revealed that the night 'Titanic' took home 11 Academy Awards, he almost clocked Harvery Weinstein on the head with one.

Describing the incident, he said: "I remember almost getting in a fight with Harvey Weinstein and hitting him with my Oscar.

"It was happening on the main floor at the (theatre)… and the music had started to play to get back in our seats.

"The people around us were saying, ‘Not here. Not here’. Like it was OK to fight in the parking lot, you know, but it was not OK there when the music was playing, and they were about to go live."

If you're wondering why Weinstein was in Cameron's bad books, it was all because of how badly Guillermo del Toro was treat by Miramax on his film 'Mimic'.

"Harvey came up glad-handing me," Cameron said. "Talking about how great they [Miramax] were for the artist, and I just read him chapter and verse about how great I thought he was for the artist based on my friend’s experience, and that led to an altercation."

If only he'd swung a little harder...
