So Geri Halliwell has opened up for the very first time about her 'whirlwind' romance with Katy Perry's ex husband, Russell Brand. Now she hasn't exactly poured her heart out, but she has hinted at the fact that she's either in or looking for a 'loving relationship'. Don't LAUGH! I'm sure these things do feel genuine for the whole five minutes that they last. As former movie editor Mike Sheridan would say, these fleeting celebrity relationships hold about as much weight as a fart in a hurricane.

While insiders claim that the pair are "very serious", with some bookies even going so far as to offer odds on them marrying next year - can I place a bet on the date of divorce then too? - Geri herself isn't saying too much. Speaking to Metro, Ginger Spice said: "It's been a whirlwind... All I want is to be in a loving relationship. Is he my ideal man? I'm choosy. I want someone who's trustworthy, sweet and kind."

Now not to give you celebrity gossip whiplash or anything but we must point out that this quote comes after a barrage of stories claiming over the weekend that the romance was already in trouble. Maybe they'll go on a break? Maybe they just need some space or maybe the honeymoon period has already come and gone. Apparently over the last few days, the pair were already on the rocks as she finds him "too intense". What's more, Halliwell is finding it difficult to keep up with his "exhausting intelligence".

A source claims: "I don't think she really fancies him. She's just enjoying the attention. It will be yoga, sex and fizz, but it won't last the distance. He's off back to LA soon and she's not planning on going with him."

She's not going to go with him? No, NOOOOO! They have to make it.; we know they can make it. How ever will we cope in a world devoid of this union?

*catchesglimpseofsomethingshiny* Oooooh, what's that?
