Girl Crushes - Our Favourite Female Celebrities

Girl crushes - we all have them. We want to best friends with them, we want to drink Mojitos with them and we even want to be them (and possibly steal their boyfriends.) Maybe they're your style idol, maybe they have the hair you want but can never seem to emulate, or perhaps they have a wardrobe (or, rather, a team of stylists) that makes you green with envy, you just can't get enough of them. Then there are the girl crushes we have for ladies who are just cool as f*ck, funny, accomplished, successful, affable and inspirational.

Some girls just happen to be trending at the moment, hot on the heels of a few successful movies. Kristen Stewart is but one example. Sure she's referred to as "the queen of glum" for her disregard for red carpet ettiqute and disdain for the sideshow that goes along with her celebrity status, however, after much iffing and butting we've decided she is worthy of our girl crush gallery; she's passionate about what she does, she's not a bad little actress and she couldn't give a rats what I or you or anyone else says about her. Did we mention that she's hot too?

Also trending are ladies like Amber Heard (allegedly dating Johnny Depp and drop dead gorgeous), Emma Stone who stole our hearts in Crazy, Stupid, Love, Emily Blunt who has a smile that could light up the O2, the naturally beautiful Jennifer Lawrence who kicks ASS in The Hunger Games and Holly Willoughby who's as sweet as pie.

Then there's the old reliables like Jennifer Aniston (our favourite Friends character who we've kept close to our hearts since splitting from Brad Pitt. You'll notice that Angelina Jolie does NOT feature here. *whispers under breath* "homewrecker") and Charlize Theron who earned herself the world's affection after her turn in Monster. Always a guaranteed laugh out of here too when making chat show appearances.

Other women who've earned our coveted stamp of approval ('cause obvo they're waiting anxiously by their laptops to see if they make the cut) are Cristiano Ronaldo's bird Irina Shayk, Clooney's arm candy Stacey Keibler, our very own Charlene McKenna, Tina Fey, Elizabeth Banks, Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, Helen Mirren and someone who has been getting a ten out of ten for her stylish red carpet appearances of late - Blake Lively.
