Eugh…

Having earned high praise for his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, Harry Styles has reportedly caught the eyes of the James Bond bosses.

The next 007 movie will star Daniel Craig in his final outing as the iconic spy. Its working title is Bond 25 and it is due for release in November 2019.

Styles could now be in the running for the next Bond flick, which would be released in 2022.

Spectre film editor Lee Smith has gotten the rumour mill going on the connection between Styles and the Bond series. Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it.

“Harry is really good and he can go all the way. He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera.”

Speaking about his performance in Dunkirk, Smith continued: “You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience. You would never know that was his first film. If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future.”

Mind you, Styles faces fierce competition as James Norton and his Dunkirk co-star Tom Hardy have also been favourites to play Bond next. Other names that have been thrown around include Jack Huston, Aidan Turner, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and Michael Fassbender.

If Styles were to be cast, he'd be the youngest James Bond ever, but if filmmakers decide to go down the root of re-imagining Bond as a young fella, Styles could very well be in with a shot.
