Daniel Radcliffe reportedly rushed to help a tourist who was being attacked by robbers on a moped in London last weekend.

According to the Evening Standard, the Harry Potter star was among a group of people who rushed to the aid of a man who was attacked by two men in west London.

The victim, who was a tourist in the UK on holiday, was walking on a side road off King's Road on Friday evening when two men on a moped targeted him, stole his Louis Vuitton bag and left him with a facial injury, according to witnesses.

One witness named David Videcette, who was formerly part of the Met’s counter-terror unit, said that he noticed two men behaving suspiciously. After following them and seeing one of them pull a knife, he intervened in the incident by shunting the thieves' moped with his car. He tried to pursue them in his car but lost them as they were jumping red lights.

When Videcette returned to the scene, he found Mr Radcliffe consoling the victim. The witness said: “It was a bit of the surreal moment, I said ‘you’re Daniel Radcliffe’ and he replied ‘I am'.

“He was a really nice bloke, a lot of stars wouldn’t have stopped to help.

“The victim was very, very shaken up.”

A spokeswoman for Daniel Radcliffe confirmed he was present but refused to comment further.
