Last night, rumours started circulating that Charlie Sheen is HIV-positive, despite him telling TMZ that he believes the virus is "undetectable" in his blood.

The site reports that their "sources say Charlie has known for more than 2 years that he was HIV-positive... and one source says he's known way longer than that. We're told Charlie was taking meds for HIV and has had a series of blood tests, and over time, the virus has been "undetectable" in his system... Doctors beg to differ and say once someone has HIV they have it for life, at least until medicine advances."

According to Us Magazine: "NBC announced that Charlie Sheen would be making 'a revealing personal announcement' to Matt Lauer on the Today show during Tuesday’s episode. Following this news, several sites, including TMZ and RadarOnline, alleged that Sheen is HIV-positive and plans to address his health during his interview."

Seemingly the 50-year-old actor has been dealing with his prognosis for years, with reports claiming that ex-wife Denise Richards was aware of the situation. A source speaking with the publication stating that the "Vanity actress, 44, has also known about his diagnosis for years. An insider previously told Us that she and her children with the actor, Sam, 11, and Lola, 10, are not HIV-positive. Sheen 'got infected after they were together, four years ago or so,' the insider explained."

Speaking of Sheen in a recent interview, Richards said: "Charlie, when I married him, he wasn’t a bad boy. He was sober for almost four years. He was a very different person. His lifestyle was very, very different. He was a former bad boy, I guess. I have a lot of empathy for anyone that struggles with addiction. I'm not going to judge the choices they made under the influence. I can only judge the person I’m meeting and I think sometimes past experiences make who you are so I just went off the person I had met and gotten to know and fell in love with. He was very different."
