It's debatable whether or not Charlie Sheen's recent behaviour has been good for his career or not. On one side, he did lose out one of the most profitable TV gigs in the medium's history but on the other he now has a higher level of notoriety and, arguably, fame than at any other time in his career. But the question is, is going publicly insane a viable career move? Well, Nicolas Cage seems to be attempting to walk this path by having meltdowns all in the frame of a paparazzo's lens.

Cage, a member of the Hollywood elite Coppola family and an Academy Award winner, was arrested yesterday in New Orleans for domestic abuse. Charges like this are absolutely no laughing matter but what's interesting about this particular case is the manner in which they came about.

Cage and his wife, Alice Kim, had been out enjoying the culinary treats of New Orleans (and apparently some of the bars too) when they got into a shouting match outside of a residence - an apparent disagreement about whether or not this was their house. Cage was adamant that this was their rented property while his wife disagreed. Cage then allegedly began striking parked cars (nice) and then attempted to get in a taxi, of which he was promptly ejected from. Cage was then arrested and brought to jail where he was bailed out by (and I'm not making this up) Dog The Bounty Hunter. Something tells me Nic won't be skipping out on his bail on this one.
