Britney Spears walks off X Factor on her first day?

After tweeting about how excited she was to have arrived at the US X Factor auditions, has Britney Spears walked off the show on her first day?

Not quite. That's what we thought had happened but turns out she was probably just taking a piss.

Earlier yesterday Britney told her followers that she had "just arrived for @TheXFactorUSA auditions – hope everyone is ready! Still waiting on @SimonCowell of course...." Then Simon, no doubt hatching his next inter panel love affair with the pop star, said "I have been waiting for @britneyspears for two hours. Still can't find her. @TheXFactorUSA." Ewww. There is just nothing sexy about Simon Cowell's attempts at flirting, is there.

However despite all the lolz she seemed to be having, as per TMZ, the 30-year-old Toxic star was later reported to have rode off into the sunset after just one show upon watching one particular auditionee butcher her song Hold It Against Me.

Britney walked away leaving four contestants with no choice but to perform in front of the three remaining judges Simon Cowell, L.A Reid and Demi Lovato in Austin, at the Texas auditions.

Later Britters took to Twitter once more to explain that she hadn't decided to quit the show because of one bad singer, she just needed some time in the ladies room: "#Britneywalksoff???LOL was just taking a little break people. I am having the BEST time!!!"

She continued with "Texas has a lot of talent - seriously! Loving @TheXFactorUSA auditions so far..." putting all #Britneywalksoff rumours to bed.

Sure who in their right mind would walk after landing a £10million deal for the job? Oh wait, I forgot it was Britney we were talking about. Stranger things have happened in the pop princess's world. Let's see if she can last the season without shaving her head, shall we?
