This means we’re (kind of, sort of) one step closer to the Queen Bee *squeals with excitement*

It is being reported that Beyoncé and Jay Z have made a $120m offer for a California mansion which is part of the property portfolio of Irish developer and estate agent Tyrone McKillen.

Tyrone is based in LA and the son of Belfast-born property magnate Paddy McKillen. Tyrone McKillen works as a broker for Hilton & Hyland, the leading real-estate agents and luxury homes specialists in LA. This isn't the first time Tyrone has secured a property for a star, as he sold a property on Birds Street to Calvin Klein for $25 million back in 2015.

The high-end mansion in question was built by Tyrone’s brother Dean and is located in the city's exclusive Bel Air neighbourhood. The eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom residence on Bel Air's Cuesta Way is on the market for $135m. It was designed by Irish architect Paul McClean.

Also included in the mansion are a basketball court, a recording studio, a spa, staff quarters and limestone floors.

According to US property magazine The Real Deal, if the famous couple's lower offer is accepted, it will go down as the most expensive price per square foot in Los Angeles real-estate history. It will also break the record for the most expensive home in Los Angeles and its environs.

With Beyonce’s twins on the way, the family, which includes daughter Blue Ivy, will be in need of a bigger house. This may just about suffice for the clann of superstars.
