Ben Affleck has checked into a rehab facility in a bid to conquer his alcohol addiction, according to reports.

The 'Batman' star has previously been in rehab for the same issue in 2001 and most recently in March 2017, and has been open about his problems with alcohol addiction. Last year, he said: "I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction, something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it."

He added: "I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I’ve done the work I set out to do."

Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner was spotted at his house yesterday (allegedly to convince him that he needed help) before they left together, and Page Six report that he has been "struggling" in recent times, since breaking up with his girlfriend Lindsday Shookus.

They quote an insider as saying: "He’s having a tough time. It’s unclear what his relationship is with Lindsay and he still has his relationship with Jen. It’s not easy and he’s struggled with staying on a straight path before."
