Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have officially filed for divorce, nearly two years after announcing they were separating.
In June of 2015 the pair announced that they were separating after ten years of marriage. Affleck and Garner developed a friendship from working together on the likes of Pearl Harbour and Daredevil before they began dating in 2004. They married in 2005 in a private ceremony that was officiated by Garner's Alias co-star Victor Garber.
The parting seems to be amicable as the petition and response were filed together and they are seeking joint legal and physical custody of their three children.
According to TMZ who first broke the story, the couple did not have a prenup so their assets and earnings are likely to be split 50/50 unless they agree otherwise. The divorce is expected to become final in six months once the pair agree a financial settlement.
