The ten-time Grammy award winner, five-time Emmy award winner and two-time Oscar winner is an American icon. There’s even a friggin’ song named after her. So it’s pretty reasonable at this stage to expect that what Barbra wants, Barbra gets.

The singer-actress found that computer program Siri was mispronouncing her name. Apple's in-phone 'intelligent personal assistant' stresses the second 'S' in her last name to make it sound like a 'Z,' as in 'Streizand.'

In an interview with NPR, Streisand explained that it's meant to be: ‘Streisand with a soft S, like sand on the beach. I've been saying this for my whole career.’

So what did Barbra do? Did she like the rest of us just wait and hope for the problem to fix itself? Hell, no!

She said: ‘And so what did I do? I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on September 30th.’

She finished the segment laughing and saying she ‘will be thrilled’ if it happens.

Oh Barbra. Never cease your fabulousness.
