Angela Scanlon makes Vogue's 2013 Hot List. Dubbed new Alexa Chung.

Congrats to Miss Scanlon - not only is she currently in fourth place to win our coveted 'Bachelorette of The Year' eric award (had to get that in there, so smoove, have you voted yet? etc, etc) - she's just been landed herself a place on Vogue.co.uk's 2012 Hot List. Here's what they had to say about her. It's all glowing and 98% of it is true.

"As Alexa Chung makes New York her home, Angela Scanlon is tipped to take her British television presenter crown. Part of the Liz Matthews talent stable, the agency that made Chung famous, Scanlon first started her career in her native Ireland - where she fronts film review series The Movie Show and fashion-based programme Off The Rails. Known for her humour, directness and upbeat cheerfulness, she has attracted the support of designers such as Simone Rocha and JW Anderson - who have both dressed her. Although details of her plans for 2013 are currently embargoed, prepare to see much more of this Dublin-born entertainer."

We won't quibble about the "fronting" The Movie Show and Off The Rails bit, because we do enjoy her contributions. As for the 'new Alexa Chung' title, that's quite the compliment. Just please don't come back half the size.
