You might think that any celebrity, when asked their thoughts on the recent and numerous allegations of sexual assault and misconduct within their industry, would tread very carefully indeed when wording their answer.

Unless you're Morrissey, that is.

However, even Angela Lansbury (aka Murder She Wrote's Jessica Fletcher aka bona fide legend of the acting world) has come under fire for her recent comments regarding the matter.

She told the Radio Times: "We must sometimes take blame, women. I really do think that. Although it’s awful to say we can’t make ourselves look as attractive as possible without being knocked down and raped."

The 92-year-old added: "Should women be prepared for this? No, they shouldn't have to be. There's no excuse now. And I think it will stop now - it will have to. I think a lot of men must be very worried at this point."

Her comments have been seen by many as victim-blaming and out of touch with the situation, although others claim that it's an age/generational embedded attitude. Either way, she has yet to release any follow-up statement or clarification.
