Alec Baldwin Marrying 'At The End of The Month'

Mind you, he was also meant to get married in Cannes last month... Not to Tom Cruise, although that wouldn't exactly be out of the realm of intergalactic Hubbard-fuelled reality.

Nay, Alec Baldwin - seen here at something else celebrating Tom Cruise last night (no one gave Betsey Johnson the memo that it wasn't about her, although she did opt to keep her knicker-proffering-leashed-Shebeast at home) - is set to marry fiancee Hilaria Thomas at the the of the month.

The '30 Rock' actor will tie the knot with the Spanish-born yoga instructor at New York's Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in a Catholic ceremony on June 30th.

A source told the New York Post: "This wasn't a quick decision. It took a lot of planning." Of course, I mean they've been engaged a whole two months and been together for almost a year.

For those of you into interesting facts about churches, the one where they're getting hitched was used by Francis Ford Coppola to film the famous baptism scene in 'The Godfather', in which Al Pacino's renunciation of Satan was intercut with the massacre of the Corleone family's enemies. Romantic.  Martin Scorsese also used the church's walled graveyard for a scene in Mean Streets as well as a location in Gangs of New York.

Back to the nuptials and thereafter; once he marries his limber 29-year-old bride, he plans to get her damienafied shortly after, saying: "Have I thought about having more kids? Oh sure, that would be great, that would be heaven, that would be fantastic."

  LOVE that scene in The Godfather! It's like one one hand he's saying he won't live a life of evil, and on the other hand he has hits out on the family enemies, lol. Amazing movie, i feel like watching it now!
