The singer was heartbroken when she had to cancel a show in Phoenix, Arizona three weeks ago, even posting a ‘sick’ note on Instagram apologising to her fans.

Now she has resolved to take every precaution to prevent it from happening again in the future, particularly given she still has the last leg of a major world tour to perform.

Adele will quarantine her crew members in order to prevent them from spreading any illness they may have to her.

She was onstage performing in Michigan when she told the crowd the new rules she had in place for her crew. She explained: ‘I had to cancel a show on the last leg of my tour in Phoenix, Arizona and I’ve actually never been so devastated in my life.

‘We have a doctor that comes in once a week that comes in and everyone gets a badge so I know I can go up to them and talk to them.

‘So everyone gets a badge and if they’ve got a badge it means I know I nan go up to them and be like, ‘Hi, how are you?’ and touch them. If they don’t have a badge, you are quarantined.’

It seems a bit extreme but you’ve got to admire her determination.
