The Knitting and Stitching Show
Twisted Thread bring you 'the Knitting and Stitching Show each year at RDS Simmonscourt.
This year it is on from 1st - 4th November. It is Ireland's definitive event for anyone with a love of stitch and creative crafts. All in the one place you can find supplies, workshops and textile arts. In other words... Habadashery Heaven! Now in its 18th year The Dublin Show show will feature over 150 companies with new exciting products to help with you favourite making projects. I usually attend with my mother and some friends. Always great fun, a busy day but always time for another cup of tea!
Over 200 learning based practical workshops for improving your knitting and Stitching skills. 20 galleries of textile artists work including a curated gallery by celebrated US based quilter Nancy Crow called Color Improvisations, Alice Kettle with a new exhibition focussing onhand stitch perspectives.
This year it will be featuring fashion and upcycling and will have plenty of knitting projects for the beginner right up to those skilled amateurs. Quilting will feature strongly as well with the Irish Patchwork Society's new exhibition commissioned for the show and presented in the lovely RDS Serpentine Galllery.
Come and join me - there is lots to do for the young and not so young - not to be missed.
