Leviathan Political Cabaret at The Sugar Club

Leviathan Political Cabaret has been called “The hottest ticket in town” by The New York Times and “A truly remarkable event” by Jon Snow of Channel 4 News. It is at once a form of entertainment, a voice of informed political intention and dissent, and a chance to see some of the most informed political minds our fair island debate the issues while you have a cocktail. Everybody, except possibly the talked about misleaders of the day, wins.

Around since 2003, Leviathan has often been hosted by David McWilliams, and has featured, among others, Bob Geldof, Naomi Klein, Alastair Campbell, Peter Mandelson, Irvine Welsh, as well as dozens of Government ministers and even our current President, Michael D. Higgins.

Currently on a national tour, Leviathan comes to Dublin on 25th April at the Sugar Club around the topic, "Ireland and Europe: The End of the Affair?".

Andrea Pappin hosts a lively public conversation about our changing relationship with Europe, what the future holds and whether or not we should just start seeing other people. Panelists include Gavan Titley (NUI Maynooth), Jason O’Mahony (blogger and political activist) and Jane Suiter, (lecturer, researcher and political analyst). There’s musical comedy with Paddy Cullivan and satirical film from Doris/Magee productions.

First 50 people through the doors on the night get a free Irish-made cocktail courtesy of the Sugar Club included in the €10 ticket price.

This event seems sure to sell out, so prebooking is recommended here.
