Roll Up, Roll Up - YOU Too Can Smell Like a Winehouse

Would you buy a perfume inspired by the smell of Amy Winehouse? I know?! Why splurge your precious pennies on such a frivolity when you could garner the same results from rolling around on the floor of your local boozer for free?

According to a (nother mystery) source: "Mitch is keen to licence (/rodger the bits out of) Amy's (now questionable) name to a perfume house. He has been in talks with manufacturers and contacted (bemused and slightly panicked) PR firms for advice. They want it to reflect her style with a classic smoky 1950s look and smell (mmmm, smoky smell and abscess chic). Amy is keen to expand her brand (now that the money's dwindling and she hasn't written anything releasable in years) and wants to get on the celebrity perfumes bandwagon while she can. They know her fans love to copy her style. Her trademark fashion and beehive hair-do were last year's must-have look." Last year, indeed.

According to Breakingnews.ie, an industry sort in the perfumery business offered the obvious, saying: "Frankly, she doesn't look like she smells that nice, so doing some positive publicity to prove it doesn't just smell of stale alcohol and cigarettes would be vital."

Interesting. Maybe they could have scratch and sniff days, where Amy's be carted around different shopping centers so the purchasing public could scratch and sniff her before they committed to buying her scent. Although, how many people would have the nerve to scratch and sniff Amy Winehouse… That's taking your life into your own nose, right there.
