Political satire is rare enough in Ireland so perhaps we should be grateful for the little we have. Still, this collection of comedy songs and dialogue from Ian Dempsey's breakfast programme on Today FM falls some way short of the mark. Built around take-offs of Bertie Ahern, Ronan Keating and Eddie Irvine amongst others, it's just a little too juvenile to be really cutting. In fairness the impersonations are often very good and there are some genuinely funny moments but what might be amusing on radio feels more than a little lame when stretched out into an album. It's hard to imagine anyone listening to this more than a couple of times.
