Underworld - Everything, Everything

Review Date: 08 September 2000

Although you probably wouldn't recognise Underworld if they walked down the street, their music has become truly ubiquitous ever since they featured on the soundtrack to Trainspotting. At this stage in their careers a live album seems logical and this one is a real labour of love, culled from a two-year global tour. And against all expectations, it's a triumph. Everything that makes the band such exciting performers is here, from their savage, intense take on electronica to their more cerebral, synth-led soundscapes. It's a thrilling match of rock and techno and the only problem is that at 75 minutes it still feels way too short
