The Corrs - In Blue
Review Date: 17 July 2000
As the cover of their third studio album confirms, the Corr sisters still look wonderful. The bad news is that the record itself is a parade of dreary, soft-focus songs which Fleetwood Mac would have rejected as being too bland. Even half-decent efforts such as current single 'Breathless' are ruined by the MOR production. Only the closing instrumental 'Rebel Heart' offers any respite, partly because it's the only time when the Irish instrumentation feels at all authentic. The Corrs are undeniably pretty but their music has no passion and, ultimately, not much of a personality either.
