Everyone deserves a second chance - at least that's the hope of the five Oxford veterans who make up The Animalhouse. Vocalist Mark Gardner is probably the best known of them, formerly a member of indie hopefuls Ride. Gardner still has a strong voice but sadly this debut album is a mess, full of meandering glam workouts which never seem to get to the point. There's plenty of flashy guitars and tuneful harmonies, but virtually no memorable songs. A real disappointment.
