Following the greatest band in history was never going to be easy, and Paul McCartney didn't help his cause by making his tuneless wife Linda an integral part of Wings. Bearing that in mind, it's surprising just how many genuinely great pop songs are on this double-CD anthology, which contains extracts from McCartney's solo albums as well as bestselling Wings material. It can't quite make you forgive the man's worst excesses of trite sentimentality, but overall this is much, much better than you might have expected.
