The very existence of an expensive, deluxe box set such as this shows there is still plenty of nostalgia out there for the man who made the Smiths one of the most intriguing bands of the 80s. Even Smiths diehards however would concede that Morrissey's solo career has fallen far short of expectations. He had an unusual talent once but threw it away long, long ago. Who wants to be reminded of that?
