The Buzz
What everyone is saying about LMFAO's album Sorry For Party Rocking
The beats, especially on the thumping One Day and the Busta Rhymes-featuring Take It to the Hole, pack a massive wallop, and executive producer Will.i.am sprinkles a little pop magic over the proceedings. Gloriously silly.
-This Is London
[An] album of danceable electronic hip hop around an infectious desire to have a good time. Defiantly puerile, LMFAO stake out their world of champagne and “hotties” with shout-along slogans. Harmless hedonism.
-The Telegraph
Sorry for Party Rocking explains why. Stretched out over an hour, their solitary idea wears unbearably thin: pretty quickly, your reaction is less LMFAO than WTF? And, ultimately, FFS. Who knows? Who cares? LMFAO clearly don't, or else their whole album wouldn't reek of this-will-do. Which raises the question: why should anyone else care?
-The Guardian
Imagine The Bloodhound Gang having a dumb-off with the early Beasties at an old skool rave, and you've got the measure of it. Taken in individual portions, they're a refreshing jolt to the system, but a whole album's worth feels like being force-fed a gallon of Sunny Delight.
