In which breakbeat artist Avenue A selects an exclusive compilation of his favourite breakbeat tunes from people like Steve Dub, Sir Drew, and Captain Funk. Overall it's a pleasant enough experience, but not as foot-stompingly energetic as you'd expect. Meat Katie (who, co-incidentally, happens to be Avenue A) delivers a fine tune called 'Dead Slow Children', which is relentless, sinister, simple, and possibly the best track. Captain Funk's offering 'Funk encounter', is also notable, primarily for the original percussion, which transforms sampled human gasping into breakbeat. Not earth-shattering, this, but competently catchy all the same.
