All Saints - Saints and Sinners

 rated 4

Review Date: 19 October 2000

All Saints used to be regarded as a more credible version of the Spice Girls - but recently their showbiz antics and lamentable efforts at acting have distracted attention from the music. This follow up to their 10m-selling debut album should restore the balance; Saints And Sinners is a confident set of vibrant R'n'B songs driven by swirling dance rhythms and some luscious harmonies. At heart the Saints are superlative singers and the unique chemistry conjured up by their four individual voices makes this one of the best pop albums of the year.
