Air - 10,000 Hz Legend

 rated 2

Review Date: 29 May 2001

French duo Air made a huge impact on the dance world with their innovative debut Moon Safari - but this follow-up finds them struggling to come up with new ideas. 10,000 Hz Legend is too self-indulgent by half, full of meandering, overproduced mini-symphonies that go nowhere in particular and fail to make the journey interesting. A few tracks recall the funky excitement of their best known single Sexy Boy - but not nearly enough to rescue the album from being a severe disappointment.
