Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club are to play a single date in Dublin as part of a European tour this summer. The Cuban 13 piece troupe will visit Tripod on Tuesday August 3rd, and they'll have very special guest Omara Portuondo in tow. Portuondo's extraordinary vocals featured on the original Buena Vista Social Club album, as well as the 1999 Wim Wenders film of the same name. Tickets priced €37.50-€42.50 go on sale this Friday May 14th.
Electronica duo Paul Daley and Neil Barnes, better known as Leftfield, have announced dates in Dublin and Belfast ahead of their Electric Picnic set in September. The pair will play Belfast's Ulster Hall on June 2nd (£27-£30) and Dublin's Tripod on June 3rd (€38.50-€42.50). Tickets go on sale this Friday May 14th at 9am, while Electric Picnic ticket holders are eligible for a 24 hour priority booking pre-sale, which begins the previous day ay 9am.
New York singer songwriter Jesse Malin has announced a Dublin show in support of his recently released album 'Love It To Life'. The intimate show will take place at the Academy 2 on the 4th of July. Tickets priced €19 are on sale now.
