City of God

Gang warfare on the back streets of Rio De Janeiro, as told through the eyes of photographer Sandro (Nachtergaele). Bloody, epic, vicious, realistic - City of God has attracted comparisons with Goodfellas. Director Meirelles employs a cast of mostly untried amateurs to devastating effect.
