Avenue Q - Grand Canal Theatre
07 February 2012 (Theatre Preview)
Coming Soon
We're still not quite back to normal after the excitement caused by Dirty Dancing live on stage - Johnny's body, holy crap! - and already there's something new that we're all fired up about: The West End Cast for the controversial Smash hit Avenue Q will come to the Grand Canal Theatre this April and we can't flippin' wait. After nearly five years of mischief, bad behaviour and political incorrectness, London’s funniest show by far is hitting the road and you can catch it at the Grand Canal Theatre from April 3rd to 7th. It's quite a short run so make sure to book early. With songs sung by the puppets ranging from 'Everyone's a little bit Racist', 'The internet is for porn' and I'm not wearing underwear today' this show is not the usual style of musical and is sure to cause quite a stir. Well that's what we're hoping for.
Not heard much about it? The Tony Award – winning Avenue Q is the irresistibly charming musical about the lovably hopeless characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of life's burning issues: love, work, relationships and, above all, how are you supposed to pay the bills with a BA in English? Hilarious and uproariously entertaining, with a terrific batch of songs performed by a cast of hugely talented performers and puppets, Avenue Q is the musical like no other.
Here's what the critics say:
'The best musical in decades' Christopher Hart, Sunday Times
'Q stands for Quite simply the best show in town' Sky News
'Cross Sesame Street with The Muppet Show, give it an X rating and clap on a government health warning that too much laughter can make your sides ache and you’ve got Avenue Q' Radio 2
'The funniest thing I've ever seen' Kiss FM
Stay tuned to entertainment.ie to find out how we got on at Avenue Q.
So don't let your life suck – book your tickets today! Tickets can be bought at usual outlets.

I cannot wait, I saw Avenue Q on Broadway in 2007 and it was fantastic! Yeay!
