If you're bound for Punchestown this weekend, no doubt you're feverishly checking the weather forecast and hoping for a dry weekend as you boogie on down to the likes of Tom Jones, All Saints, Culture Club et al.

The good news is that the weather's not looking too bad - as in, there may be a shower or two, but no torrential downpours forecasted at this stage of the week.

While stage times have yet to be revealed, promoters have issued a safety and transport notice which will come in handy if you're planning your weekend.

The Pink Moon & Campervan Campsite Opens from 9am on Saturday 29th July and will close at 10am Monday 31st August.
For Pre Booked Customers Only – Must hold a Weekend Ticket

There is STRICTLY NO CAMPING on site except for those who have pre booked Pink Moon or purchased a Campervan Ticket. Campervan / Caravans MUST be parked in the designated campervan area and must have a valid campervan ticket. Camping in Car Parks or sleeping in cars is STRICTLY prohibited.

ENTRY TO THE EVENT
Large bags and backpacks will not be allowed in to the festival, only small bags measuring no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm x 11.7in/29.7cm) will be permitted into the event. Bags smaller than A4 will be searched on entry. In addition, each attendee is permitted to bring one folding camping chair to the event.

There will be no cloakroom or storage facilities. Bags must not be left at entrances or surrounding areas. Any items left will be removed and disposed of accordingly.

You will also be searched at the entrance to the event which may include a full body pat down and/or use of hand held metal detectors. Any item(s) which may be reasonably considered for use as a weapon, or which may cause danger or disruption to any other persons at the event, will be confiscated.

Please allow plenty of time to get into the event, and for festival entry procedures, ticket checks and searches.

Persons suspected of carrying items that may be used in an offensive or dangerous manner, or carrying out illegal activities within the arena or other parts of the site may be searched.
There will be a strict NO Alcohol Policy implemented on all public transport and private buses travelling to the venue.
Please do not arrive at the event intoxicated as you will not be permitted entry.
There is no re-admission for single day ticket holders.
Wristband exchange is only for people with Weekend Tickets. Wristbands removed from the wrist or tampered with in any way will be deemed invalid and will not be replaced.
Note that the concert may be recorded for visual and audio broadcast.

All the above items will be confiscated. Anyone resisting confiscation of disallowed items may be evicted.

BANNED ITEMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT INTO THE ARENA
In addition to the above Banned Items, the below items are not permitted into the arena:

Disposable barbeques and cooking stoves.

AGE POLICY

No unaccompanied under 16’s are allowed on site. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a parent / guardian over 18. Note you may be asked to prove your age with photo ID or you will be refused admission. Acceptable forms are: Passport, Garda Age Card, Driving Licence.

An Garda Síochána will operate a Zero tolerance policy regarding alcohol consumption in public areas, any illegal criminal or anti-social behaviour.
Please respect the property and privacy of residents in the vicinity.
Please use the car, coach and bus parks provided, do not park illegally or in residential areas.
Note that official merchandising will be available inside the grounds only.

WE URGE ALL FESTIVAL-GOERS TO RESPECT LOCAL RESIDENTS AND THEIR COMMUNITY BY NOT LITTERING, NOT URINATING IN PUBLIC, NOT ENGAGING IN ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR AND BY NOT PARKING ILLEGALLY OR IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS.

YOUR SAFETY
This is an outdoor event. The festival will take place rain or shine
Always check the weather forecast before setting off.
Wear outdoor footwear, as the grass may be wet, muddy or uneven.
If it is sunny bring sun-cream, a hat and drink lots of water.
If it is raining, bring wet weather clothing including wellies. Please note that umbrellas are not allowed.
There may be strobe lighting, lasers and pyrotechnics used at these events.
Note location of Entry / Exit Gates, Emergency Exits, First Aid Posts and Water Points.
Patrons are advised to be aware of their own personnel safety and security while attending these events. They should ensure the security of personnel belongings while on route to and from and during the event i.e. purses/wallets/tickets/mobile phones. The promoter accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Any form of antisocial behaviour, crowd surfing, moshing or public urination will not be tolerated. The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission, or to remove from the venue, anyone taking part in these activities without a refund.
Please move slowly and quietly when exiting the festival site and co-operate with stewards’ directions. Do not rush the exits, hang back until the main throng has dispersed for an easier journey home.
Please co-operate with stewards and Gardaí and follow any loudspeaker announcements.

TRAVEL & TRANSPORT INFORMATION
Following consultation with An Garda Síochána and Kildare County Council the following arrangements have been made.
You MUST plan and book your return travel arrangements in advance.
The Promoter is not licensed to, nor do they operate any transport to and from Punchestown Racecourse.
Transport to and from the venue is a matter for individual ticket-holders themselves, whether you go by car, train or by making an advance return booking on the 'Marathon coaches' special shuttle bus service operating directly between the City Centre and Punchestown Racecourse.
We strongly urge all concert goers to heed the advices of An Garda Síochána, transport providers and promoters regarding the pre-planning and advance booking of their return trip to and from venue. Leave lots of time to get to and from the venue, adding at least an extra 2 hours to your journey time.

TAXIS

Please note taxis are extremely limited at the end of the event. We would urge attendees who have not pre-booked a taxi for the end of the night, to plan alternative means of transport home.

Taxis can drop fares directly to the pick-up drop off area on site, accessed via Gate 3 on the L2023.
Taxis must enter through Gate 6 on the R411 at the end of the event to pick up fares.

PUDO AREA (PICK UP / DROP OFF)

Attendees getting dropped to the event by family and friends are advised to use the designated PUDO Area found in Car Park H. This can be accessed by Gate 3 on the L2023.

Attendees getting picked up by family and friends following the concerts are advised to use the designated PUDO area found in Car Park H accessed via Gate 6 on the R411.

COACHES, PRIVATE BUSES & MINIBUSES
Marathon Travel
Marathon Travel is operating a coach service from George’s Quay (outside Ulster Bank) in the city centre direct to Punchestown Racecourse.

There will be services on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July departing every 30 minutes between 12pm – 5pm.
The return service from Punchestown starts at 11pm and will run until 1am. The buses will depart as they are filled.

Discounted online Bus Return Bus Fare: €25 when booked online from 5:00pm on Friday 21st July and before 5pm on Friday 28th July 2017.
Full Fare/ Walk up on the day: €30 when booked online from 5:01pm on Friday 28th July 2017.

For those with Pink Moon Camping, there is a special bus service available departing on Saturday 29th July at 12pm / 1pm / 2pm and returning on Monday 31st July at 10am.

Executive Express are operating a coach service from the Clayton Hotel (Leopardstown), via the Red Cow Moran Hotel (Naas), the Maldron Hotel (Newlands Cross) and the City West Hotel (Saggart) to Punchestown Racecourse.

Dave Long Coach Travel will operate a special direct shuttle service from Cork to Punchestown Racecourse.

Coaches leave Skibbereen at approx. 9.15am and serves Leap, Rossbarbery, Clonakilty, Bandon, Innishannon, Bishopstown, Cork City and Punchestown Racecourse.

Andy’s of Naas
Andy’s of Naas will operate a special direct shuttle service from Naas to Punchestown Racecourse.

Buses serve Poplar Square and Market Square in Naas before going direct to Punchestown Racecourse. The service runs every 20mins from 12:30pm until 4.50pm on both Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th July.

Private Buses
There will be coach/bus and minibus parking available within Punchestown Racecourse, access is via the L2023. It is however very important to us that operators notify and register with us in advance, to do so please email [email protected] with the following information:

TRAIN

Irish Rail operate a service from Dublin's Heuston Station to Sallins (just outside Naas). During the festival Jacobus will operate a bus service from Sallins to Punchestown Racecourse. Please call 045 890 756 for more information.

BY CAR

Plan your approach to Punchestown Racecourse based on the following:-
Traffic and parking delays are inevitable - you are strongly advised to use public transport or carpool
We strongly recommend you plan your journey in advance allowing plenty of travel time to and from the venue.
Plan your route in advance and check the AA Roadwatch website for reports on traffic, road works, delays etc. on your route

RECOMMENDED ROUTES

Southbound on the N7 - (Dublin Traffic)
Exit the N7 at Junction 9. Take the R445 to Naas, turn left onto Blessington Road and follow the R410 towards Beggars End Crossroads. At the Crossroads take a right onto L2023 and continue on to the designated carparks

Southbound on the N81 – (South Dublin Traffic)
Traffic travelling Southbound the N81 towards Blessington. Traffic can then either take a right onto the R410 at Blessington and follow the road until Beggars End Crossroads where you will turn left and continue on to the designated carparks; Or alternatively continue on the N81 and take a right onto the R411 through Ballymore Eustace. Continue along this road to the junction with the L2023 and then turn right and continue to the designated car parks.

Northbound on the M9 – (South East)
Traffic can travel through Kilcullen on the R448. At Mylerstown Cross traffic should turn right and onto the L2023 to Punchestown Racecourse. Alternatively, traffic can exit Junction 10 on the M7 and follow the R445, then turn right onto the South Ring Road to the Ballmore Eustace Road (R411) and follow until you reach the designated car parks.

Northbound on the M7 – (South / South West)
Traffic should travel north along the M7 until junction 12 and exit towards Kilcullen on the R413. From Killcullen take the R448 and turn right at Mylerstown Cross onto the L2023. Continue on to the designated carparks.

Northbound on the N81
Traffic travelling north on the N81 towards Blessington should take the R411 signed Ballymore Eustace. Continue along this road to the designated car parks.

Please note that there is parking available in the Punchestown Racecourse. Car Parks open 1 hour before the gate opening time on your ticket.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PARK ILLEGALLY IN AREAS SURROUNDING PUNCHESTOWN RACECOURSE, IN LOCAL ESTATES OR OUTSIDE LOCAL RESIDENCES. PARKING ENFORCEMENT RULES WILL BE IN OPERATION AND YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE CLAMPED OR TOWED.
