26 March 2009 (Movie Video Interview)

Richard Curtis, it seems, has a gift. He is equipped with some sort of celluloid Midas Touch as shown by the breakout success of some of his previous films, including Love Actually, Bridget Jones's Diary and Notting Hill. His latest effort is The Boat That Rocked, a comedy loosely based on the adventures of Radio Caroline and the other pirate radio ships of the mid 1960s. Like a lot of Curtis' other films, this film features an ensemble cast including the likes of Bill Nighy, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Nick Frost, Chris O'Dowd, Kenneth Branagh, and Rhys Ifans. John Balfe recently sat down with some of the film's stars to talk about their experiences making it.
