Not as bad as you might have heard, but nowhere as good as it should be - Brad Pitt's central role as Achilles sums up Troy. The action sequences are good, the sets are suitably epic, and the supporting cast - bar the anaemic Kruger - are pretty good. But it's still a missed opportunity.
