The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

In Tobe Hooper's original version, a handful of teenagers wound up at the mercy of the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface and his family of mass murderers; this remake stays so close to the original, without actually capturing its primal essence, that it's difficult to work out why anyone bothered.
